Sensis Develops Advanced Airport Efficiency System

Dewitt, NY company Sensis is developing a new operational system designed to improve airport gate efficiency. It is in addition to Sensis’ already established technology that provides a visual display for airport operators. The new technology will provide the airport operators with “recommendations” in order to achieve the most efficient procedure in regards to planes entering and exiting the gate area. This is designed to reduce the wait time that is fairly common amongst busy airports.

Eliminating wait times lowers fuel costs and decreases the amount of emissions released. It will also save passengers the hassle of waiting in a grounded airplane, thus increasing the probability of repeated business. The new technology should be a welcome addition as airlines are looking to eliminate any costs amid the soaring operational costs in the industry due to gas prices.

In addition to air traffic systems, Sensis specializes in defense/security systems and the advancement of technology with its innovative development department.
